Sheraton San Diego Resort – Hotel near airport in San Diego

The hotel had a decent size room that was very clean but a little shabby. Unfortunately, it reeked of pot for the first three days and cigarette smoke for the last two. The service was a mix of being extremely friendly and abruptly leaving guests unattended. The location offered excellent harbor and city skyline views, despite the disturbance of military helicopters. Dining was a bit pricey without much variety. Overall, a unique but somewhat flawed experience.

Upon checking in, the room smelled moldy and had been pet-occupied, but the staff were able to fix the issue. However, the room was not soundproof as noise from upstairs neighbors could be heard. The location is amazing with spouting seahorses for the grandchildren to enjoy and overlooks the island harbor. The hotel is close to the Airport and Marina, which was most important for us. The dining options were expensive, leading us to eat off the property most of the time.

The hotel has lovely and spacious rooms with small balconies overlooking the marina, though they were a bit basic and small. The service, except for Karen the manager, was unhelpful and disorganized. The location is very convenient to the airport but lacked a pleasant view and had noise from the air conditioning. The dining options were minimal and overpriced. Overall, a decent stay with a few drawbacks.

I had a wonderful stay at the hotel, with amazing staff and views. The only downside was the noise from the nearby area starting early in the morning, disrupting our sleep despite the great bed.
